  1. In very, very simple terms S4 Unfit through Drink/Drugs- Drunk as a lord so to speak, unable to hold conversation, unable to stand etc also covers affected through both prescription/non prescription drugs. S5 Driving over the prescribed limit. - Thinks they are safe to drive, you can hold a reasonable conversation with them but the smell of alcohol/intoxicants... able to blow into roadside screening device / refuse to blow S5A Drug Driving - Usually after a roadside drug wipe for Cocaine / Cannabis. (Only certain officers trained/authorised to conduct drug wipe due to cost, force dependant) Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk

Laura, for just starting out a 10 min mile is not too bad. I am 49 with 28 years service, so when I joined the running test was 1 & half miles in 12 min = 8 min for 1 mile. Forward on 27 years I pass the force fitness bleep test with no running beforehand. The only fitness I do is walking my dogs twice a day. Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk

Tankie, Yes you have to stop, and commit a specific offence with regard to traffic census if you don't. No you don't have to answer the questions. Sent from my PLK-L01 using Tapatalk

  10. Today Is My Last Day In The Job.

Dragonfly, well done for letting it stay. Roger, I wish you well in the future and all that holds. I hear more and more of these retirement messages, across a number of different sites, where officers put papers in to go (Retirement and Early) and the recurring message in most of them is basically "The job doesnt give one anymore. No Thanks, No Goodbye, just There's the door shut it on the way out" I believe part of this is the Butterfly, remote management culture we now have and not just at senior level. My Sgt for my annual appraisal this year is located 25 miles from where I work, and other than 3 emails about sorting my PDR I have never met or spoken to him since he was allocated to me in March this year. I assume you don't fall under the tapered protection so I think it will be 60, fully protected its 55 as you don't have 30 years in.Best contact your force HR or pension provider. Sent from the dark side of a Tachograph!!!
  12. Eu Referendum And British Policing

Can see possibly a move to AETR for Drivers Hours. Drivers licence accepted as now, but with change for those that become resident to exchange to DVLA issues licence within 6/12 months at some point in the future as per or similar to non EU licences. Sent from the dark side of a Tachograph!!!
