  1. Police use of personal phones to record conversation

Is this not a breach of human rights? Breach of data protection? Breach of PACE? Or anything like that?
  2. What if you have a meeting as a complainant against police at your home address and the officers who attend record your conversation on their personal mobile phones (in their stab vest) allegedly in order to fully document their pocketbooks verbatim without you knowing they were recording you at the time this was happening. With regards to the data once transcribed into their pocket notebooks it was to be deleted by the officers This has only been found out retrospectively Is there a offence here? Could the officers get disciplined or sacked
  3. Personal mobile phones on duty?

On this note guys. What if you have a meeting as a complainant at your home address and the officers record your conversation on their personal mobile phones allegedly in order to fully document their pocketbooks verbatim without you knowing they were recording you at the time if this happening. Is there a offence here? Could the officers get disciplined or sacked
  4. Any Update

Gwent police have invoked A19 30 years retirement scheme so possibility that with the number of officers leaving they may take on a small amount of new ones in collaboration with south wales? Just a thought to throw out lol
  5. Theoretical Unlawful arrest

Police Constable "A" recieves information a person "B" has a warrant out for his arrest and bail conditions not to be at Location A and not to interfere with Prosecution witness A On attendance at Location A - the constable can hear a breach of peace occuring at the Location. On entering the person "B" is present and moves towards constable "A" with fists clenched and refusing to speak. As a result of this person "B" is arrested on: Suspicion of Breach of Bail Assualt Police and booked into custody ---------------------------------- Later on at custody the courts bail condition state not to interfere with Prosecution Witness A who lives next door. Not to attend Location A with a error - Instead of saying "XXXXX Road" it states "XXXXX Court" by error. However the address the offender was located at is the victims address and the reason he is on bail in the first place proving its a typing error by the courts. Is this still a lawfull arrest or not even though due to a technicality in the following investigation no breach of bail has actually occured
  6. Gwent Police chat thread

you will prob next here about a drug test via email. following that email + phonecall on the results and if ur in or not. then a letter followed. to be honest the best source of information is to ring or email recruitment as they will tell you info specific to your circumstances as the september intake wasnt that far away for me so was quite fast. since the next is in january it may be a longer wait so just get in touch to find out rough estimates of the remaining process.
  7. Gwent Police chat thread

was about 1-2 weeks if i remember correctly although i cannot remember exactly, but they were on a tight schedule for the september intake. for the jan one might be longer since its so far away?
  8. Gwent Police chat thread

yeh it is easy, but they expect alot more from you. Im slightly ahead of you and am starting in a few days along with a couple other members of this site. Even if you found it easy, still hit the gymn everyday or whatever you do and just keep improving your fitness. Will only help you in the long run and whats the downside of getting fitter i have yet to find

hey. Application Form Assessment Centre Force Interview security vetting Medical Fitness Test Drug Test References Appointment so pretty much as you said as for are they accepting A/C transfers, last i heard was yes, but you would be better off contacting gwent recruitment as they would beable to tell you more in the matter. However i have heard they give priority to direct applicants rather than transfers
  13. The Wait is Over!!

to be honest buddy i doubt that they will. due to the gwent police pledge by the chief commisioner promising 150 officers by end of the year (recruited) including january intake) so to cancel the intake would mean breaking their word? btw congrats on finding out about getting on the jan intake - forgot to mention that lol
  14. The Wait is Over!!

just to let you guys know if your on the september intake. Spoken with recruitment. Uniform fitting dates will be organised and they will let us know by the end of the week when they are.
  15. The Wait is Over!!

to be honest kyl83 i doubt you will get in on the september intake, although you never know. As far as i understood recruitment, they said they would fill the september intake by last friday and the be looking to january. However i hope you get a start date soon
