    It use to be 4 questions with 5 minutes for each. However, I believe the assessment centre process has been changed as of the 1st of April?

  4. Pay drop

    Not sure if this has been covered but are there any plans for current serving officers to be moved over to this new pay scale once the pay freeze is lifted?
  5. What happens after the current Pay Freeze?

    I am due to start as a PC next week. I assume I'll start on the current scale (10 point scale. Starting salary £23k) as the new one doesn't come in until April 2013. However, what is likely to happen come April? Unless I've completely misunderstood the above, in just over 2 months I should be moved over to the new pay scale and be on a comparable pay point. Is this correct?

    A PCSO in Nottinghamshire force earns £26300 a year. This includes shift allowance and working weekend allowance which increases the salary by over 25%.
  7. Hi all Has anyone ever heard or have any experience of these types of test? I am told they are likely to become a standard part of the Police recruitment process across the country with at least one force already using them. Despite this, there is very limited information out there on what they actually are...! I believe they are carried out after the assessment centre stage and are completed online with the aim of providing an insight into a candidates 'temperament and values' and their 'approach to taking risks'. They are not the logical reasoning and numerical reasoning tests. Any general clues as to what kind of things are asked on these things? Thanks in advance
