There are irons and ironing boards there but I have brought my own very good iron (military experience) and long ironing board. So up to you but if you don't there is amble. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Detergents wise...... you need to ask and have a very very valid reason to stay or they will refuse you. But if you do stay there are washing machines and dryers that you need to bring your own stuff for. I'd recommend this washing machine soft tablets you get. I stay at the weekends but most folk take their washing home Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk Ample even Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

As for other advice.......... you really just need to turn up and have a great attitude. If you've already got boots or shoes then getting them bulled up in advance will give you time to do other things in the first week like iron those trousers good luck guys. See you in a few weeks Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Yeah you get a week off after week one. College is being used for other things for a week Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I'm here now. It's good fun and time flies. You also will more than likely get a single room as there is next to no students currently. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Nothing worth revising buddy. Just pitch up on time (10 minutes early), and follow instructions. You'll be in your suit until at least Wednesday so bring spare shirts. A thin large hanky for ironing will be a must have. ( or special gauze. You use it to stop your trousers from going shiny) a good shoe polishing cloth and a good attitude. Keep your fitness up as you'll be getting a bleep test in week one and that's about it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. References

It's got to be your last employer plus another reference so if you can work around that Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I don't think things will change too much, especially if it's a similar to bigger budget and the chief constable has control of how it's spent employment wise. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Thanks for the feedback CheekyJoe99. I'm assuming you've been through all this. Any tips you wish you'd had before you went in? Yeah finished it all now and start Monday! There really is nothing you can prepare for in the AC. You'll find that you will really rather enjoy it actually just remember the tips that have been mentioned before. Be yourself, don't overpower conversations, if you see someone struggling/not getting involved go out of your way to include them. Don't worry about the tasks they are just a method of seeing how you interact with others. Good luck man Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

Good morning! I too am in the exact same situation and starting Tulliallan in just a few weeks. Eager to start and with a pile of stuff accumulating but would like to know any hints or tips. Maybes post this in the recruitment section or probationer and student officer section as they seem to get a lot more views? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk

I bought the SET books from amazon and if you work through them you'll have no dramas. I was well prepared for it ( it's not criminally hard to be fair) because the questions are almost exactly the same as you'll be asked. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
