As a change of pace, tell me about beer.

In my neck of the woods beer and pizza are considered their own food groups. So how is it on your side of the pond? What is your favorite beer and food combination. Or other form of libation? If you do not drink, that's ok too. So what do you consume to 'cut the dust' so to speak?

Now you're talking,...

Pizza is definitely my favourite junk food, and I like a beer on days off, can't stand wine or what you guys'd call 'hard liquor'.

My brother and I are both NFL fans (cue piss taking from other Brit's who don't get the game at all). Once or twice a season we get together for a full Sunday nights viewing, and this is always the refreshment combo of choice. Over here the early games kick off at about 6pm and by the time the SNF game ends it's about 4 am, it's a bit of a marathon session.

EDIT: **Admin/Mods, smilies not working???**

If it's beer then it's got to be really well chilled San Miguel and crisps to munch on (chips if you're American - although here chips are fries - are you following?!)

Beer to me tastes like dishwater and I have had maybe a pint in my life.
But if you are talking cider then that's the good stuff.
A cold magners of an evening or a cidre is just the ticket.

I've spent many a night in my youth in Germany with wobbly legs courtesy of Warsteiner.

Is cider big on your side of the pond? I see it once and a while but not that often.

Absolutely love Corona, Brahma or Dos Equis. Unfortunately the latter I have only ever seen in Mexico and I consumed many many pints of that stuff on my honeymoon

But to be honest beer in general is good

As to myself, I don't drink beer very often. When I do it is usually because it is free at a party. When I am out, I usually drink whiskey--typically Canadian Whiskey. In the summertime I drink a mixed drink called a Seabreeze. It is vodka with grapefruit juice and a splash of cranberry juice.

I'm exclusively a vodka man. Doubles too :D In fact, that's where I'm headed right now. I often have a burger on my way home if that counts as a "beer and food group"?

Stella and whisky and coke, any kind of whisky really long if its cheap. I'm a Jock, and putting anything in real Whisky (water, ice is ok) is still a hangable offence :)

Crisps is the snack of choice

Pizza of choice has to he the Chicago town ones, with the Bolognese sauce stuff crust (posh I know). And for beer it has to be my future father in-laws beer. "bear town brewery" beer.
