Hi All,

Who has applied to BTP for the role of a PC?

This year is different to last year, BTP will close the recruitment once they reached enough applicants. They do not want to receive 4500 applications again.

Does anyone know how many applicantions they are looking for before they close their recruitment?

Out of curiosity, those who applied for BTP, when you filled your CBQs did you write more than 50, 75 or 100 words when they said for example after the question 50 words?

I have applied although i think i rushed my application so will not expect a reply to be honest!

As long as you do not go over the max amount you will be fine. Some questions I was right on the nose, others i had a spare 15 words left. It is all about the answers you give, not the amount of words used.

Good luck all, part of me wishes I had not rushed it I was just paranoid that thousands would apply on the same day!

Been years since doing one of these things and I am out of practice!

Did you manage to give it a good read through before you sent it off?

I think that anything over the word count wont be marked. It does say in the notes that they want a concise report, similar to writing a statement. Facts only and no waffling.

The application form only has london and south east locations on it, so i would presume not in this window.

The job listing has been taken off the recruitment website now. Anyone with a form has until this Saturday to get it submitted.

It was 9am this morning. They'd tweeted it a few times (no good if you don't follow them though)

that's ridiculous if they withdraw the application deadline early, especially without putting this on the website. If the deadline is 3rd October then applicants should have until 3rd October in which to complete it! The force should expect large volumes of applications, the same that us applicants expect to be very thoroughly selected up against the competition!!! I'm sure most applicants have jobs, commitments etc, it's only fair that we are able to plan and organise the job application around our commitments as responsible individuals without the fear of an early withdrawal and the door closing unannounced!!! Gutted doesn't quite cover it!
