Hey. I applied. I'm an external candidate and had my assessment centre at the weekend. I found out I passed on Tuesday. However, as there was a high amount of passes they have only taken in those with the top marks. They said there are intakes throughout next year and they will pick from this 'talent pool' first' Waiting game continues

I also attended the assessment centre last weekend, also heard that I passed on Tuesday but have been added to their talent pool for further intakes in 2013. I just hope they have a few intakes in 2013 as they only keep you in there for a year, dont want to have to go through all this again.
Any one have any idea how many intakes they took last year?

I rang and spoke to hr. they were optimistic that there will be vacancies throughout the year for the 'talent pool' (hate that phrase)

I've got my ac coming up soon. Can anyone answer a couple of questions .

Are the psychometric tests as hard as the test one's ?

What is the overall pass mark?

I failed unfortunately, I applied for the South East and London locations.
I had an email on 25th October to say I had not scored high enough to be invited to the assessment centre.
Maybe I'l be sixth time lucky next time :/

No I don't. Sorry! The reason I asked is because I wondered if the BTP did the police SEARCH assessment, but it appears they don't.

It's A 10 min presentation and then a 50 min competency based interview. There is also a fitness test, numeracy test, verbal reasoning test and a critical thinking test. It's a tough day.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum.

I also have a conditional offer of employment.

The numeracy tests are fairly difficult because they're timed so you're up against the clock straight away. Just relax n you'll be fine.

Yes they're pretty similar.

No idea what intake yet, I'm waiting on vetting and a medical. My references have been sent off though.

How are you getting on?. Are you an internal or external application?.
