Hi I thought I'd set up a new thread away from the general recruitment that was set up for MET intake as I think it's diverted away from its original purpose.

I'm in earls court on the 01/11 and am slightly nervous but have reviewed black rats advice that is pinned which is a great help. Let's use this thread to discuss day 1 only.

Is your day one the same as the assessment centre for other forces?
If so I recently passed one with 76% and used the John McTaggart book and it really helped.
The names of the competencies have changed slightly since it was written but it still helped me so much!

Attending Earls Court on 4th of October :) Which is tomorrow.

Read various books, practised reports, practised maths and verbal reasoning, practised role plays with a friend and thought of some scenarios that could come out in interview.

I don't have an exact date yet. I have been told I will be given my date in the first week of November and then my date will be in the first week of December.
Do you reckon if I pass in December I will be in time to make the February intake...presuming all goes well at day 2 and vetting?

How many people at the day one assesment you attended and did the day run along the lines covered in the pack. On the role plays do you do them on your own with actors or in a group, if in a group do applicants talk over each other

Role plays are always done on individual basis.

It's 55% minimum to transfer.

I unfortunately know as I had a score of 54% to transfer but I obvious can't and need to do another A/C

Does anyone know each exercise is marked in AC. What's the percentage that each exercise contributes to the final mark?

I'm not a 100% sure but think the biggest part is role play followed by interview

Most of the points are in the role plays and interview. Then written excercise.

Source?

I am sure but not 100% that it goes Role plays 57%, Written 24%, Interview 12%, 7% for both math's and verbal reasoning's.
