If the police pull you up and you just sit there in your car without saying anything and them going ballistic, because you didn't put your window down due to having anxiety can they arrest you will they most likely rip your car door off or smash your window? We do have the right to silence, however majority of officers don't abide by it and go over the law to get you talking.

You don't always have a right to silence. In some circumstance you must disclose information (usually your details) or you will be committing further offences.

You also have to produce your licence and insurance so sitting there refusing to engage or hand over your documents leaves the police with very few options. One of those options being use of force i.e. Smash a window and drag you out to arrest.

Right to remain silent doesn't mean you can just ignore the officers and provide them with no information. If you're a driver of a vehicle you have certain duties, one of which is to provide any officer with the required information to ensure you're legally allowed on the road. Driving licences isn't a right, it's a privilege.

Even in the situation where you do have the right to remain silent it doesn't mean you have a right not to be questioned.
