Web-enabled vehicles that will allow occupants to email, shop online and catch up on office work are about to hit the road.
Something new to distract drivers from their main purpose.
"If you have ever experienced the frustration of trying to email a friend on your iPhone while parked in a dark lay-by, then car makers are about to come to your rescue."

Nope, cannot say i have, stuck in traffic, or waiting for passengers to return, and my first thoughts are, crap, i REALLY need to e-mail someone, not sure who, but i have this urge that just will not go away. So my best bet is, buy a coach with an e-mail attachment.

Nice find KW, i've got this in my car already...

...hang i'll post more later, the lights have changed and the bus behind me is beeping his horn

...oh it's OK, lights are back at red now so I can type a bit more.

what we need in cars are LESS items to distract. the perfect car will have a wheel, gears, mirrors and indicators: - nothing else.
The operator will be highly trained to use all of these functions (some simultaneously) and will not be distracted from the critical task of driving

We can do one better..........
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...ikini-line.html
A WOMAN driver crashed as she shaved her BIKINI LINE while a passenger held the wheel, cops said last night.

Some obviously have nothing better to do whilst at the wheel.

And the stupidity gets worse.

Who's a naughty boy then? Pirates Of The Caribbean parrot owner jailed for driving with Chip on her shoulder

"He scratched and pecked at the unfortunate police officer given the task of moving her car.
Chief Superintendent Steve Masters, of the Port of Dover Police, said: 'A volunteer was sought to drive the vehicle to a more appropriate location."

We hope the Officer is ok.
And would you be the volunteer to get yourself scratched up by this pest?

Whilst on the subject of folks not concentrating.

M6 CLOSED today Southbound Junction 3-2, we were dragged off the motorway at junction 3, not to bad, the traffic flowed nicely. But then the diversion signs came up on the roundabout at the bottom end of the slip road. First diversion notice was at the A road pointing towards my right so keep going right next notice of diversion was just before the slip road to join the M6 Southbound pointing up the slip road. But that had been closed off by HATO. Next message of diversion was on the A road which pointed towards right again, so in essence i had almost done 360% and back where i started, i went round three times before i realized i am not going anywhere. In the end i went Northbound and left M6 at the M42 junction. Now which idiots put these notices up?
