    Passing on the left

The answer to basic question posed by the op is not strictly illegal ie forbidden by law but dependent on the individual circumstances at the time it may satisfy the requirements of an offence under sec 1 to 3 of RTA 88 JMHO

NEWS:Essex police to launch 'Dad's Army'

So many downsides to this , even with thinking about it for two minutes , makes you wonder about the thought processes of the instigator ?

    Political Correctness Discussion.

Gypsy liason is just a slightly sanitised way of saying 'keeping tabs on the thieving pikey ######ers' tbh /quote] This is a truely offensive generalisation especially being used on such a thread ! see its very easy to be offended !

Trial by jury & alternative systems

The biggest problem I see with the present system is its lack of consistency , due to variables in the jury selection . To a lesser degree you get it with a magistrates bench . I also agree with the ridiculous delays and lack of sanction for same !

    Stretching of tyres?

This would be a fail for MOT under section tyres condition 4.1 , and as previous posted dangerous condition, VoSA inspection would be immediate prohibition , police officers do not need a special training course , to be able to take action as the legislation is already there . And anyone actioned against should be very grateful that their ignorance as to the danger this type of modification represents has been brought to their attention .

    under car lights

Its not immediately clear what you are asking , and the video is also somewhat jumbled as is the font etc in your post ? What were you actually cautioned regarding ?
  7. What you are describing is not an "offensive weapon" per se , and from what you are saying of its intended use , it does not fall within the definition , and by virtue of it being so there is no requirement at law to require its special storage . Do you carry other tools for similar purposes ? It would basically come down to what the situation is at the time it came to notice , eg if you were seen to get it from your vehicle on a green lane then no problem , if you were seento get it from your vehicle and then to enter a public house , then it might have a totally different interpretation . If you want to see the relevant legislation have a look at "Prevention of crime Act 1953" , HTSH
  8. Reasonability is the big test , you say ringing weekly , probably to your ex , Ok to the school starting to get unusual , did you ring school weekly when together ? Ringing your ex weekly , midnight sunday , harrasment ? Running what you are doing past a impartial third party before doing it might be a good move , as people often loose sight of what is normal when in a stressful situation . You say you have parental responsibility , you dont mean custody , the custodian parent usually has day to day resposibility , things that go beyond this can have consultation requirements depending on the arrangments arrived at . HTSH JMHO
  9. I agree with CT , I would look at what ins co you are using .

    PND

Consider yourself "lucky" that you were given a FPN , otherwise you would be answering positive to that question . We all do silly things when young , some more serious than others . You need to work extra hard now , to compensate for the negative aspect that you have acrued JMHO
  11. If you end up arranging a meet , after all the details that you have given , as above do it in a public place , and I would go further and say get your friend to be at the meeting place and have a pre arranged subtle signal , so they can "arrive" and get you out of the situation "toute suit" if it unsettles you

    Insurance Discrimination?

Just in your responses shows why they want to quote you that amount , if you cannot see why they give such a quote based on logic , its unlikely you have the cognitive ability to make decisions when driving such a vehicle , sorry if truth hurts
  15. A modern fairy Tale ? It is a slow day in a dusty little Greek town near Thessaloniki . The sun is beating down and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and everybody lives on credit. On this particular day a rich German tourist called Angela Merkle' is driving through the town, stops at the local hotel and lays a €100 note on the desk, telling the hotel owner she wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the night. The owner gives her some keys and, as soon as the visitor has walked upstairs, the hotelier grabs the €100 note and runs next door to pay his debt to the butcher. The butcher takes the €100 note and runs down the street to repay his debt to the pig farmer. The pig farmer takes the €100 note and heads off to pay his bill at the supplier of feed and fuel. The guy at the Farmers' Co-op takes the €100 note and runs to pay his drinks bill at the pub. The publican slips the money along to the local prostitute drinking at the bar, who has also been facing hard times and has had to offer him "services" on credit. The hooker then rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill to the hotel owner with the €100 note. The hotel proprietor then places the €100 note back on the counter so the rich traveller will not suspect anything. At that moment the German traveller comes down the stairs, picks up the €100 note, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and leaves town. No one produced anything. No one earned anything. However, the whole town is now out of debt and looking to the future with a lot more optimism.
