    I'm New!
  1. Hi, I've been keeping an eye on the local news and it doesn't look good, I have to admit. I don't really want to have to apply again if my assessment centre pass runs out, but I guess I'll cross that bridge as and when I get to it.
  2. Hi, Just wondered if there is anyone lurking out there that is currently going through the Cambs recruitment process??
  3. Congratulations to you too. 'The email' really is the hardest part, I agree! I think Thursday will be a mini assessment centre, hopefully with some role play as I could really do with some practice. And maybe some feedback with what we need to brush up on before the real thing. I'm really pleased we're having a mock assessment, it should really help.
  4. Hi, I'm pleased to report that I was successful! I really enjoyed the morning (as nerve jangling as it was)! How did you get on?
  5. This is what my email said (below)....there are quite a few examples online of the numerical test, but not too many of the spelling and grammar. As the assessment is for only 2 hours I'm not sure if there will be the usual 'role play' exercises, though I am preparing just in case. And I'm not sure what a group interview is but I guess looking at competencies specific to a Police Constable can't hurt. ''The assessment will consist of spelling and grammar tests, written exercise and group interview and should last 2 hours'' Also there are several books you can buy to guide you on the assessment centre process. I hope that helps a bit :-)
  6. I'm nervous but looking forward to it, strangely. I've waited so long to get the invite. Now I'm preparing madly! How about you? Feeling Ok about it?
  7. Hi, I have a pre selection assessment morning on 28th at Huntingdon...is this what you mean?
