    Marine Unit

HI all, currently a HO force serving officer looking to transfer. I have a keen interest in the marine unit but was wondering if anyone could shed some light on their duties etc. Thanks!

    Crimes Basket!

Hi all, I am a serving officer with a home office force. The thing I hate the most is carrying (what can sometimes be) an unmanageable crimes basket. I was a SC in Hampshire where officers did not carry 20 crimes, have to interview the prisoner themselves, create paper remand files (with around 60 pages x 4 [court, defence, CPS and case managers]) and have to sit on the phone to CPS for 2 hours. I appreciate that admin does form a part of the job but this really isn't what I joined for... I wanted to know if BTP officers are in a similar position? Thanks.

Sorry for ask about PC recruitment, I forgot I included that in the title! Starting to get a bit confused on the other forums where half of us are talking about PC and the other half about SC's!

    2015 PC Recruitment

Yes mate that's right. My file has been signed off for a few weeks now. I rang again yesterday and they had no update to give me. I've been told that I am on the August waiting list but all TBC very soon. You are for PC recruitment right?

Hi! Is anyone active on this forum that is due to start later this year? Has anyone heard anything once completing everything and having their file singed off? :)

    Warwickshire Police 2014 Recruitment

You must have applied in time for them too as they have imposed that rule where you have to live within the area of Met Pol. Best of luck! The difference between possible and impossible is yourself.

Millsi, I transferred from Derbyshire. I applied to Derbyshire in May. What force did you apply for? The difference between possible and impossible is yourself.

    Warwickshire Police 2014 Recruitment

Hi, I'm new to this thread. I've just transferred my assessment centre score to WM&W police. Well done to all those who are waiting for a start date. The difference between possible and impossible is yourself.
  12. Thats about right, they said the week of the 4th August they will start to get the results etc. Im not 100% but I would have thought by email to be honest. I don't know how many applicants there are but they are only intending to take on between 40-50 so I think its going to be tough. Good luck to you too :)
  13. Ive only seen one thread about this on another forum so I thought that I should ask on here as well. Has anyone heard anything back from Derbyshire? Does anyone know how many people have applied? Good luck to everyone that has.
