    Police Scotland Recruitment

I'm currently in my probation. A lot of cops have mentioned over the past week that they know people who have had fitness tests recently and that the fitness requirement has been lowered to level 5.4

    Police Scotland Recruitment

After my vetting passed I had to redo final fitness and smt as both had expired. Other than that it's just medical and waiting for a start date. I wanted A division, so was considered a priority for an intake once everything was out the way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I applied December 2015. Passed AC in February then had a vetting hold up for just under 3 months (clearance certificates..) Starting at Tulli in less than 2 weeks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As has been mentioned, get on the phone asap. If your vetting hasn't already cleared and they find out about it that'll be you out on integrity grounds. The provisional offer does say something about fixed penalties if I remember right. Best of luck mate

Your knowledge of those will be tested so keep studying those topics. Also make sure you know the Code of Ethics very well! Have at least 2 examples prepared for each competency as the wording of their question might not fit one of your examples and thinking on the spot won't be ideal. Best of luck! Some competencies I am confined to one, but I am forever trying to get myself into situations. For example, I plan to speak to a probationer to help me answer a competency on using initiative, which I think may be ok as it is relevant. :) Thanks for the reply and advice. There was one competency I only had one example for. If your examples don't quite fit the question my best advice is to just take your time. Drink the water and ask the interviewer to repeat the question. Gives you some time to structure your response! No problem I'm happy to help. I don't think I'd have passed the process without the help of this thread!

I am going with Dr Martens... I will show them off to you in five and a half weeks! Hopefully time passes quickly haha! Is that the Dr Martens on the SPRA shop website? Was away to buy them but might shop around a bit first It's 40 days! Yeah same ones, I found them being sold new on eBay for £50 or thereabouts. With everything else on that list I would definitely be shopping around. Thanks for that, eBay it is! Yeah it's hard to justify £150 for the starter kit deal, a trip to asda will probably work out cheaper for tape, ruler etc. 40 days doesn't sound too bad!
