  1. Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum so big hello :) I just have a question, I have my assessment day on sunday and i'm a bit stuck on what to wear? Should I wear normal interview clothes or something else? Thanks in advance! Laura
  2. Hi everyone, have my assessment day on the 24th of June and looking for some advice. I've been studying hard, similar preparation as my initial interview but looking to see if I'm missing anything out. I've been studying the police scotland structure, priorities and Competencies. Going over examples of the Competencies and trying to answer using the STAR method. Spoke to probationers and serving officers before the initial interview but should I try speak to more for assessment centre? I know the people who have done the assessment centre can't go into much detail but any help would be great. Don't want to miss anything out! Thanks in advance.
  3. Hi, I applied for police constable with Grampian Police and I received an email yesterday to say I've been invited to the recruitment day on the 31st of August. I firstly have to sit the SET exams and if successful will do the fitness test straight after and if I'm again successful I will have my interview that afternoon. I've been practising the exams and my fitness levels are pretty good so my main worry is the interview so I was just wondering could anyone help me with this?? What kind of questions are asked and how long is the interview and do they mainly focus on the answers you would have given on your application form? Any tips that any one might have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  5. Hi all, I am going for an Assessment Day next month and was trawling for opinions/advice on the CNC. The market is flooded with books on passing the tests; I bought one by Ian McTaggart which seems very good. Should I take it as gospel as the CNC differs from a County Force? On the day should I be even more PC than the CRE? Fitness is not a problem as I am in the RAF and firearms will be okay, are they done at a later stage? All replies gratefully received!
