Resign/Early Retirement

Recommended Posts

I joined in Sept 1998 and have been working part time since 2004.

I'm hoping to leave in the next few years after completing about 16 years.

If I do when would I be able to start claiming my pension?

Thanks.

I joined in 1989 and am retiring with 27 years as I have just turned 50. My last pay is at the end of the month and my first pension payment is a few days later at the start of the next month.

I assume you don't fall under the tapered protection so I think it will be 60, fully protected its 55 as you don't have 30 years in.

Best contact your force HR or pension provider.
