Made to work all hours!

Recommended Posts

Hi there, my husband has been made to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day? This doesn' seem fair as he requested one of those days off. Are they allowed to do this as it doesn' seem fair? Thanks all for your help in advance.

This may seem unfair but this should have been expected.

Policing is a 24-hour job and people should expect to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

My best bet would be scheduling such days off many months in advance, and even then, it may get cancelled at the last minute.

This is my opinion though, none others.

Unfortunatly this is sometimes how it works out, staffing requirement may dictate that he had to work, it may be that next year he gets majority of them off?
