Not policy to provide candidate feedback?

Recommended Posts

Hi, it would appear that my application for constable has been unsuccessful.

I received an email stating as such, but what I wasn't expecting was that no feedback/scores were provided.

I am sure I remember talk of a "candidate feedback form".

Not sure where from though.

This is the email I was sent

Dear MR X

Thank you for your recent attendance at senior interview for the role of Police Constable - Mar18. I am now in receipt of the results and it is with regret that I must inform you that you have not been recommended for the role of Police Constable - Mar18 on this occasion.

Unfortunately it is not Police practice to provide interview feedback.

You are reminded that a minimum period of six months from the date of this letter must lapse before you are permitted to reapply for this position. However, you are welcome to apply for any other vacancies advertised (except any Police Officer entry routes).

In accordance with our recruitment policy your application will be retained for one year, after which time your application will be confidentially destroyed. Your medical, financial and security information will also be confidentially destroyed.

I am sure that this will be a disappointment to you, but I would like to thank you for your interest in this opportunity and wish you every success in the future.
