Hi I’m just wondering what’s involved with the medical ie how does the day proceed, if you wear glasses do they check your eyesight or just use your options report that confirms your eyesight is up to standard, how is the smt taken and what substances are looked for. Thanks

How many people fail the initial interview the first time. Is it statistically high

So the standard entry tests once passed shouldn’t need to be done again. Happy days

Thanks chrismcc. I’m just thinking out loud as I’m currently waiting to see how things pan out else where but I may be looking to apply in the future. To be honest I’d be happy to be based Edinburgh way but I’d be looking at a 12 week wait from submitting my application so might as well just wait for west command . Thanks

Would it be best to apply to Edinburgh then if I decide to apply. I stay in the west of Scotland but it’s looking like recruitment here is grinding away slowly

Just a wee follow up guys if that's ok. On the day does all parts have to be passed first time. If any part is failed that day must I wait 6 months to apply again

Hi I was wondering if you guys could help. I'm looking to go for my assessment centre this month but looking for some extra information if possible. Does anyone know what to expect on the video/ written part. Is there books or sites I can practice this. Also is there any tips for the interview. Thanks
