I had that too but had my ff and SMT cancelled last week because they have reduced March intake so have now said we are looking at June. Gutted.

Congratulations. Did they give you an idea of an intake date?

I was asked about the rank structure but didn't need to provide names. The asked about specialist units but just what I knew. I wasn' asked anything about local or force priorities but I did learn about run tell hide and stop and search. I was asked about probationer training. I didn' learn this word for word I just gave them an abbreviated version. Partnership working was in my 2nd interview where they just asked if I knew what it meant and how it can be of benefit. I stressed out loads thinking I needed to know everything so I feel your pain, don't stress too kuch. If you don't know something just say that you will make sure you know it for the 2nd interview. Be yourself. Don' try and overshadow your team mates but instead involve them and if you notice one of them is struggling to get a say in things help them out by asking their point. It's not about completing tasks it's about how you work with each other. Don't be scared to have a different view to others oh and be aware they are always listening and will have eyes on you even during lunch as other members of staff report anyone who is doing or saying out of line. Have fun too. It is a good day.

Just practice saying them over and over. Some people record them and listen to it while they are out running or at the gym. Use the star method too if that works for you. Good luck

Hiya, you don' need to hit every point on the descriptors. That' what they said to me anyway.. they said as long as you are hitting a minimum of 4 you should be ok. I wouldn' just rely on only hitting 4 though. I passed both interviews but after my 1st one I asked for feedback when they asked if I had any queation as I thought I had messed it up. They said that my answers didn' need to be a time when I had saved the world etc it could just be a run of the mill day that you have dealt with something. Don' over complicate things. Still my best bit of advice that I got off here was to take a moment to think about their question and your answer and take a drink of water. If you forget what they have asked don' be scared to ask them to repeat the question. Good luck.

Hi Ashley89. I'm going through Jackton. Got my ff on the 7th. I don't think we hear about vetting unless there's a problem. I think we can ask how it's gone but if they are inviting you for a ff and mentioned a march intake then I think all will be good.

I was asked about the local and force priorities and answered in the area I stayed in. They didn't really go into too much of that in my interviews. It was much more about the competencies. They did ask if I knew about the specialist branches which I had learned. Don't be scared to say that you don't know something and that for the next interview you will make sure you have researched it. Good luck.

All being well if I should be in by March which will be 12 months from application to intake date. I should have been December but my medical held me up. What area are you applying for?

I never heard anything for 8 weeks but have heard people get responses really quick. The whole process is very much a waiting game and you can go months without an email. Refreshing your emails will become slightly obsessive. Good luck with everything.

It' the end. March is the 26th so I'm guessing June will be Monday 25th.

Just got my ff date. 7th Feb. All being well they said it would be the 26th March intake date. Got the nervous butterflies now.

No I'm going through West and hoping for LB division which is one of the fast track ones. Fingers crossed we all get to meet in March at Tulli
