I've got my SC confirmed (started mid May) and awaiting phase 2 vetting clearance to be finished currently. I'm confident everything will be ok with it as I'm vetted to the same standard in my current role and my family circumstances have only improved security wise since obtaining this :) Apologies for the slight thread hijack but the website states between 2-5 months for stage 3 of the recruitment process (inc Phase 2 vetting etc) but doesn't say how long phase 3 vetting usually takes. I would assume that it is relatively quick compared to the rest?? Thanks again!

I was hoping I would have been in a position to get on this intake but alas still going through the Police vetting stages.. did my interview in June. Assuming that I'm 'good to go' and ignoring specific vacancies for a moment, what would the odds of there being space on the November intake? Or are there likely to still be lots of people who didn't get September waiting?

Got my interview next month :) The letter says that it will involve 3x questions. Are they more competency based, as in "give an example of when you did this" or are they more along the lines of why do you want to join MDP and testing knowledge of it? @MDPREC - Sorry to hassle you again but just another quick couple of questions: Firstly assuming I posted off an application on Monday, would I be in time for the February assessment still?? @MDPREC - I currently hold a SEARCH ticket and from the website it states between 6-9 months flash to bang for persons like me. Can you confirm if this is still the case? Likewise from reading the Facebook page you say that Portsmouth comes up fairly regularly... I know you can't forecast anything however from your experience so far with the process what would you say the probability of getting a HMNB Portsmouth posting would be? Thanks, BH

Thanks MDPREC- I assume the application form will be the same as it was this time last year? If so I could simply send in the copy I took of my last one :)

@MDPREC - I had to withdraw my application which was at the awaiting phase 1 vetting stage. Should recruitment re-open do you know if my application could re-activated at that point again??
