Threatening and Police Intimidation
Reasonable Man replied to Flint2525's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
As said. You have posted half a story from your perspective and are asking for a 'non bias' view. I think there's too much to this to deal with on a forum so the best advice has been given - let your solicitor deal with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Selling Imitation Drugs Laws?
Reasonable Man replied to MoosAndTwos's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
Fraud by false rep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
If a word was missing, and it looks like it is, it's not the Mods. Certain words get excluded or changed automatically by the IT. I've read my posts before and realised that I'd used a 'naughty' word that had been changed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Put under investigation in November, not heard anything for a while
Reasonable Man replied to ComputerNerd's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
You can only ask the person dealing with the case. It won't have been forgotten but likely the officer has picked up 50 more cases since he saw you and unless prompted will get to it when he does. You could always write a letter asking for an update. Recorded delivery and keep a copy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Definitely harassment. Report it to your local police but be wary of the officer dealing with it as 'just another low level domestic', they may suggest giving 'words of advice' to your ex. You should also seek a civil order through your solicitor to prevent him from contacting you directly - all contact should be through your solicitor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Arrested under false allegations, what to do next?
Reasonable Man replied to ouch's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
Why on earth would you still be in the same house? If you choose to stay in such an environment then you must accept the consequences. Move out, move on. Otherwise you will be assaulted again and probably arrested again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Arrested under false allegations, what to do next?
Reasonable Man replied to ouch's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
You report it to your local police just like any other crime - and the assault on you. The police will gather the evidence, just as they did in the assault case and decide on the course of action, which may not be what you want. The police can only arrest in certain circumstances and when it is necessary to do so, so she may not be arrested. The evidence will be your word against hers and her daughter's including what she has to say about the admission that she faked it. Just because you know the story from your side doesn't mean that the CPS will have sufficient evidence to authorise a charge or that a court will convict. You may be better off at this stage being thankful that you found out that she is a violent, uncaring, lying and manipulative person before she became more than a girlfriend. Move on with your life and have nothing more to do with her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I think it would result in the information being shared with all agencies including social services. Doesn't mean that anything further will happen on this occasion though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not necessarily but I am surprised no one came to see you as this is a domestic abuse situation with an assault, albeit minor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can a force refuse to vet you (for non-police personnel level 2) if you previously failed PC vetting?
Reasonable Man replied to Anonymous78's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
Each Force can decide on their own recruitment policy, and vetting forms part of this. Also do you know for sure that you failed vetting because of the arrest? Applicants are not usually told why they fail vetting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Common assault

View the CPS/Director General's guidance on sentencing. Available on line. There are several factors that need to be taken into consideration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

On the face of it nothing unfair about this at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Does this constitute as Common Assault by Beating?
Reasonable Man replied to AAA's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
You would be better off seeking advice from a solicitor. The caution form you signed should have contained all the information about the implications and effects of accepting a caution so it would be difficult to claim later that you didn't know. Most importantly whether you or the victim thinks you should have been charged is irrelevant. The question is did the circumstances and evidence meet the CPS charging threshold? And was it in the public interest? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Confused about owning quickcuffs (or rather the key)
Reasonable Man replied to NotPolice.com's topic in In The Eyes Of The Law (UK Excluding Scotland)
There is an offence of escaping from lawful custody. There is no offence per se of owning cuffs or key. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
