I'm looking at March too, got my final fitness and SMT at the start of Feb
-
Yeah I had to go for a deferral, the colour vision clinic in Glasgow is only open twice per week so getting an appointment can take a while. I requested one in mid September and was given one at the start of November (roughly 6 weeks then).

Yup, it seems that vetting just quietly goes on in the background and you'd only be notified if something had caused you to fail it. Since you've been given a date for Final Fitness, it would suggest your vetting is all good. I haven't had my official FF invite yet, but have been told I should be having one at the start of Feb

@Wightman84 You don't hear back unless there is something negative. I was at Fettes on Monday for a forms meeting and happened to see on the piece of paper that my vetting has been passed (but i never got contacted about the result)

@xperty92 Hope all goes well bud

@TriggersBroom Buddy, the one piece of advice I'd give you (i've got an exercise physiology degree), is keep up the exercise but the super important thing is to track your food intake (use a food diary). You'll see tonnes of diets and weight loss plans out and about but it simply comes down to "energy in vs energy out", so by tracking your food intake you can see if you're burning enough calories to achieve a calorie deficit (burning more calories than you are consuming) Send me a message if you want any further advice :-)

Yeah I'm the same, during my assessment centre we were told we would be working towards the Dec 18th intake start date

Hey guys, I haven't posted on here in a good while, but I had my assessment centre at Fettes yesterday (found out this morning that I passed!) and was wondering if anyone on here was also at the test day? Medical up next in mid September!
-
Lori I was charged £10, like the others say, I'd call around ask for some quotes as £40 seems pretty high!
-
I was 6 weeks, it was a bit of a wait...!
-
Yeah I was told at my interview yesterday that they will be moving to quarterly intakes, and March will be the first one in the new year
-
Cheers ason and almac! :) No problem! and congrats on your interview! Yes they advised me to call either tomorrow or Thursday to get some feedback ahead of the assessment centre :)
-
I passed my interview! Really chuffed! The interviewers were really nice and after the ice breaker questions I wasn't nervous at all. They were really good at prompting for more information if I hadn't quite said everything in my star statement. Assessment centre on Nov 1st :-)

Congrats ason83!
